What is an excess day?

An excess day is a defined period within your WeatherPromise during which no payout is made – even if it rains. The number of excess days is set out in your contract and is listed in your confirmation email.

Example (fictitious for illustration): According to the contract, a payout of €100 per day is made from the 3rd rainy day onwards. The first 2 rainy days are therefore excess days and are not paid out. Only from the 3rd rainy day onwards is a payout made for each additional rainy day that meets the conditions. You can view the exact conditions of your contract in your confirmation email or in your personal dashboard.
