Can WeatherPromise cover weather conditions that affect travel safety, such as snow and ice?

For the assessment within the scope of WeatherPromise, we focus primarily on rain. Snowfall is not taken into account in the same way, as it cannot be directly converted into a comparable amount of precipitation.

How is the amount of precipitation measured?
Regardless of the type of precipitation, all limit values are based on the amount of water measured in its melted state.

The amount of precipitation is usually measured in millimetres (mm). This measures the amount of water that falls on a particular area (e.g. one square metre) within a given period (e.g. one hour).
